Who we are

A local team that picks up the phone.

D&D Services is run out of Sioux Falls by Diane Dahl. She’s a hands-on, local operator — when you call, you reach her, not a call center. She’s built the business on showing up when she says she will, telling the truth about timelines, and treating every job like it’s the one that matters most, because often it is.

Whether you’re an attorney with a stack of papers to serve, a family signing a closing, or a business that needs a package across town in the next hour — we’d like to be the people you keep on speed dial.

Common questions

Straight answers, no runaround.

How fast can you start on a serve?

Same-day or next-morning first attempts are our standard for Sioux Falls and the immediate suburbs. Rush and after-hours attempts are available — call and we’ll tell you straight what’s possible.

What proof do I get after service?

A timestamped, notarized affidavit of service with dates, times, and attempt details — court-ready and filed or emailed to you promptly. GPS and photo documentation on requests.

How much does service of process cost?

Flat-rate, quoted up front before we start — no surprise mileage add-ons. Routine residential or business serves are one rate; difficult serves and stakeouts are quoted individually. Call for a ten-second quote.

Do you serve papers on weekends or evenings?

Yes. Some of the best attempt windows are evenings and Saturdays. (One exception: South Dakota law bars service on Sundays, so we don’t.)

What if the person can’t be found?

That’s where our skip trace work comes in. We use public records, databases, and field work to locate them, then serve. Difficult serves are our specialty.

Are you a registered process server?

South Dakota does not license process servers — any non-party adult may serve. We’re members of NAPPS, fully insured, and every serve is documented to standards attorneys expect.
